New Greenham Art Fair

Just a little extra note to let you know that I'll be exhibiting at the New Greenham Art Fair on Sunday 6th December, that's a week today! Come and see local artists all together in this great creative space. The fair is open from 10am-4pm and for an idea of who and what you might see there, please see the website.

The address is: New Greenham Arts, 113 Lindenmuth Way, New Greenham Park, Newbury, Berkshire, RG19 6HN, and for a little help please see here for details on how to get there.

Comings and goings.

Well, the Christmas Art Market in Marlborough on Thursday was easily the busiest I've ever been! A very successful day for me, so thank you to everyone who bought something or who took a card, hopefully you'll be in touch soon!

I've added a couple of new bits to my Etsy shop. Firstly, as they went down so splendidly on Thursday I'm now doing packs of six robin and reindeer cards including three of each design.

I also added this new thank you card, cute and simple, perfect for sending out all those post-Chris
tmas thank you notes.

New best sellers!

I've had a busy week in the virtual world as well as the physical real life one! 3 orders in 3 days on Etsy, making the Monster Birthday card my best selling mini card! My strange animal signed postcard prints are also doing rather well online, but more so in the real world. Thank you to everyone who's purchased from me in the last week! Let's hope it continues today at the We Love Christmas Art Market in Marlborough today from 2pm til 8pm

Some lovely people I met

At the craft fair on Saturday I met the sweetest husband and wife team, each selling their own handmade, recycled, biodegradable things.

Jenny, like me, likes to sew. She is a textile artist making lovely things from recycled materials including chicken doorstops and paperweights, as well as envelopes made from reclaimed paper from old maps, sheet music and books. Take a look at her website here and she also has a Folksy shop here. She has the coolest business cards made from old playing cards, and I only got the best card of them all, the Queen of Hearts!

Joe is an illustrator making cards, magnets and stickers from his simple yet amusing drawings, as well as creating the cutest little people from discarded electronic parts. You really have to see it to understand what I'm talking about so here's a pic of "Electric Bill" that I swiped from his Folksy shop here. He also has his very own solar powered website here.

A busy end to the week!

On Friday night I had to rush home from work to get changed and dash off to the private view at the Barn Acre Gallery, a plan that was thwarted by the insane amount of traffic on the M4. I eventually made it there at about 7 o'clock to find a magical exhibition in a garden trailed with fairy lights! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of any of that in the excitement of it all and managed only one measely photo of my kOodles in situ!

This really doesn't do them justice though, I urge you to go and see them in the flesh. The show runs until December 6th so there's plenty of time to get down there!

Then I had to get up at 6:30 on Saturday morning to head off to the craft fair in Devizes on one of the most hideously wet days of the year. It was my most successful craft fair yet so thank you to everyone who bought something, I'm totally thrilled!

More new Christmas cards added

I've just added the rest of my Christmas card designs to my Etsy shop so please take a looky! There are six designs in total, plus I'm selling three of the designs in a pack of six (that's two of each design).

I look forward to seeing some of you at the Barn Acre Gallery private view this Friday 20th November between 6pm and 8pm, plus it's the Devizes craft fair on Saturday 21st from 10am-4pm at the Corn Exchange, Market Place, Devizes.

Busy busy busy!

I've kept quiet recently as I've sewing away making stuff for the Barn Acre Exhibition. Handing in day is now less than a week away and still I have so much to do! I've also been creating some new Christmas card designs, so here's a sneeky peek at one of them. I'll be adding them to Etsy over the next few days and they'll be available at all the craft fairs and art markets I'm doing in the run up to Christmas.

Art at the Oakford

I had a most marvellous afternoon on Sunday at the Oakford Social Club in Reading where they hold a weekly art market / jumble sale / general arty gathering called Welcome to the Jumble. I met lots of lovely people this week including Léa, who kindly took these photos of me doodling all over the wall, because I forgot my camera! If you're going to be in Reading, why not pop in and see if you can spot it!

Also selling their lovely things were:

Pete Montford with his extremely detailed drawings and doodles.

Zoë Darnell with her totally cute creatures, cards, magnets and illustrations.

Alex Whittaker with his amazing woodcut prints and etchings.

and of course Léa Bessaguet with her quirky collages

cute quirky cards going down a treat!

My little greeting cards have been selling well this week on Etsy, being as I've had two orders within two days of each other! I've relisted all sold items, but if you want more than one of a particular card, please ask and I'll add it on to your order, there's a neverending supply of all cards!
